Your Negative Thoughts Have a Lot More Power Than You Think.
I’m sure you are aware of the two elements of your mind, your conscious and subconscious. The subconscious mind has no will of its own and will believe anything you tell it. It then reacts to the data you have programmed in.

What you tell yourself over and over (negative or positive) will be acknowledged by your subconscious as the truth.

There are two ways to address the subconscious directly. Hypnosis or suggestions made under deep relaxation channel directly into our subconscious and affect us almost immediately.

Repetition is another way; this is a lot slower but still very effective.

Your conscious mind needs to be the one to set a straight road directly to your goals. If your energies are not focused and your goals are not clear your subconscious will lead you down a winding path in which you cover many miles more than you need to. You might eventually get there, but it will take a lot longer than is necessary to achieve success.

In order to achieve what it is you want out of your fat burning program, you need to change the way you think.

The path to success is a much shorter one if you have a specific set of goals that are not limited by your preconceived beliefs. Positive thinking is as important (if not more) as any part of a healthy eating or exercise plan.

Most people are so sure that they can’t achieve the body type they want so they don’t even try. They set themselves up to fail even before they begin.

Such negative beliefs include:

“I’ve been on so many diets. I’ll never lose weight.”
“I find it hard to lose weight because I have a slow metabolism.”
“My mother has struggled with weight loss all her life and so will I.”
“I don’t have time to exercise.”
“I don’t have time to plan my meals.”

If you’ve had a go at positive affirmations in the past and they have not worked for you, it may be that you were negating them with conflicting thoughts like these that are not checked. It is important to stop yourself from affirming negative statements that are contrary to the goals you set yourself.

When these statements pop up in your mind, immediately replace them with the exact opposite. If you find yourself saying ‘I’ll never lose weight,’ stop immediately and tell yourself: ‘I am getting leaner and more attractive every day.’

Repeat the exact opposite to yourself over and over until the last remnants of your negative statement are gone:

“I’m losing weight steadily because I am working hard for it.”
“I am building muscle steadily and my metabolism is speeding up daily.”
“Every day I am getting leaner and more muscular.”
“I make time to exercise because it is important to me to be healthy.”
“I plan healthy, balanced, nutritious meals for me and my family.”

Get yourself a pen and paper. Write down your targeted affirmations and follow them up with physical manifestations of your goals.
